The following letter was read and referred~to the City Manager:

'~I have been instructed by the Federated Shop Craft of the Seaboar~
Shops to again write you and ask once more if something can't be done'about traffic conditionsl
at County St; and Sixth Ave.
There are several hundred men employed in the.shops here who have
to pass this corner going to and from work. With the heavy traffic on County St., it is aearly
impossible for men to get across this street. Sometimes, it t~kes five or zen minutes.
The best solution we know is a traffic light here. It is one of
the most dangerous corners in our City.
The employees of the Seaboard Shops certainly would appreciate
you giving us a light here.
Very truly,

Approved -

resident

On mot ion adjourned.

A. S. Em arms Chairman,
Federated Shop Crafts,
1013 Court St., Portsmouth, Va.

City Clerk.
