Barolay, City Attorney. <br /> <br /> June 10th were read and approved. <br />Minutes of regular meet_rig held . <br /> <br /> Mr. B~tler Ballanee, ~xecutive Secretary of the Portsmouth Redevelopment <br />and Housing Authority, presented the following : <br /> <br /> "At a regular meeting of the Conm~issioners- of the Portsmouth Redevelop - <br />merit and Housing Authority, held on June 19th, 1947, a resolution requesting the transfer of <br />permanent war housing projects Barlow Place -VA-4~086, and Douglas Park VA-~182, Norfolk <br />County, Virginia, t o the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority for use as part of the <br />low-rent housing progra~of this community, was unanimously adopted. This resolution ca~rled <br />the proviso that such transfer would be contingent upon the sucbessFul outcome of annexation <br />proceedings. A copy of this resolutibn is attached herewith for your information. <br /> ~e have been info--ed by. the Federal Pubiic Housing Authority that on <br />and afte~ July 1, 1947, no ~urth~r~ecommend~zons for low-rent trs~ueferz of permanent L~m <br />Const~cted '$~r Housing Projects shall be accepted. The request as contained in our resolution <br />should ca~ry the endorsement of the City Council.
