I recommend its adoption.~ Resolution - WBE iT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that tlme Federal Works Agency b e and it is hereby requested to pay to the City o~ Portsmouth, Virginia~ the balauce of the grsmt x~nds amounting to $59,228.00, retained by the said Agency under Docket No. VA 44-141 Sewerage Facilities~ and 'that the City of Portsmouth hereby sets forth the followir~: (A) That the City smd Yeomans Brothe~s, Dravo Corporation end A.G. Pinkston Company, the respective contractors and their resoective Sureties agree that the obligations on the surety bon~s, given by said contractors and executed by said sure tics, will not be modified or cat, celled without the v~itten consent of the Federal Works Agency of the United State~ of America. (B) ~at ~he contract documents smd surety obligations relating to said project will be submitted by the City for re~e~ as to their sufficiency. (C) That the City of Portsmouth, bythe acceptance of the Grant ~nd will permi't the Goverm~aent, its employees or representa- tives to inspect the records of the City, v~tk respect to the performance of the work ~uuder this project and the completion ~hereof, and to inspect the project smd the work being per - foz~ed ~ader the above-ment~ioned contracts. (D) ~nat the City will not pay out f-m~ds relatir~ to s aid project, to any of the contractors ~mti! adequate proof of the eom - pli~ce of the specifications of each contract has been sub - mitred to the approval, of the Federal Works Agency.
