<br />"We, your Committee, appointed by Nayor Fox at the last meeting
<br />of the Council, to consider the reques~ of establisbdng an elec-
<br />tric clock in the ~uni.cipal Stadi~a, the cost of t~ same to be
<br />$2,500~00, wit~ut the parts desi~ating the "yards to go". TO
<br />include thess parts to cost an additional $7~0~00 a total of
<br />$~,250,00.
<br /> ~our co~iltee feels that after obtai~g a statement of t~
<br />~eceipts ~ud e~endi~.res of the Stadi~ fo~ this year, from
<br />the City Clerk, which shows a deficit of $7~500.00, this is a
<br />matter t~t should be given c~centrated and meticulous study
<br />by the entire Co~cil. This matter was not ~cluded ~ the
<br />Stadi~z ~dget, therefore, it would requ~e a two-tb~rds vote
<br />of the Council for the passage o f t~s appropriation, a~ w e a re
<br />doubtful a s to w~¢her it could be obtained, therefore, we res~ ct-

<br />from the Colonial Z¢~norApartments to t he Western BranCh Road and also a similar sidewalk on
<br />the north side of ~Yestern Branch Boulevard from Riverside Drive tot he entrance to Glensheal-
<br />lab, the estimate cost being
<br /> mt is my understanding, according to the report that there is no
<br />sidewalk in this area and the school chil¢~en are required to walk in the streets to the new
<br />school building recently constructed in that area°
<br /> I therefore recm~lend that'this work be done and that the ques-
<br />tion of placing curbs aud gutters on Hartford St. be given further consideration, s ince this
<br />project will;~require additional storm drains."
