<br />The following report of the Pi~ ning ~d Zoning Commission was read:

<br /> "At a meetzng of the Planning and Zoning Com_mmsszon, ~elm December 8th,
<br />1949, the Commission adopted the two following recommendations:
<br />
<br /> ~. z~hat the Zoning 0rdi_~ance be amended ~o allow radio studios and
<br /> towers in multiple-family dwelling districts, Class E, with the
<br /> following restriction - that the distance of the radio tower base
<br /> from the nearest present building shall not be less ~h~u the
<br /> height of the tower plus 15% of the beirut of the tower·
<br />2. The closing of that part of Hartford St. crossing the A.C.L.
<br /> tracks, as requested by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, was de-
<br /> nied."
