<br />97-29 - The following call for the meeting was read:
<br />
<br /> ,Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held at the
<br />Williamsburg Hospitality House, 415 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, Virginia, on
<br />Thursday, February 6, 1997, at 5:00 p.m.; on Friday, February 7, 1997, at 8:30 a.m.;
<br />and on Saturday, February 8, 1997, at 9:00 a.m., for the purpose of a City Council
<br />Retreat.
<br />
<br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session.
<br />
<br />By order of the Mayor."

<br />97-32 - The following items were discussed in the Public Work Session:

<br />
<br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to go into Executive
<br />Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the
<br />following:
<br />
<br /> (1) Discussion or consideration of the condition, acquisition or use of real
<br />property for a public purpose, or the disposition of publicly held property, as
<br />permitted by Subsection (A)(3).
<br />
<br /> (2) Discussion concerning a prospective buSiness or industry or expansion of
<br />an existing business or industry where no previous announcement has been of same
<br />in the community, as permitted by Subsection (A)(5).
<br />
<br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Benn, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, pursuant to Section 2.1-
<br />344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's
<br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council:
<br />
<br /> (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting
<br />requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and
