Seotember 7th~ 1950. <br /> <br />there ~re present~ <br /> <br />At a called meeting of the City Council~ held Seotember 7th~19~O~ <br /> <br />Frank N. Bilisoly~Jr.~ Fred A. Dukes George L. Grimes~ <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council~ ~u the Coun- <br />cil Chamber~ at ~:00 P.M.~ on Thursday~ September 7th~ 1950~ to consider the purchase of the <br />Post Office Building. <br /> By Order of the Vice President." <br /> <br />Motion of l~. Houghton to go into an executive session was adopted <br /> <br /> The City Manager states that the Post Office authorities sre inter <br />ested in disposing of the presently~owned P6st 0ff~ce Building on the southeast corner of <br />Court ~nd King Streets. <br /> <br /> Motion of ~. Houghton that the City Manager be authorized to in- <br />form the Postal authorities that the City of Portsmouth is interested in purchasing the Post <br />Office Building on a cash transaction basis and for the Post Office authorities to have an ap- <br />praisal made, was adopted. <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
