Barclay, City Attorney. <br /> <br />The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "You are requested to attend a special meeting of the City Cour~il, in the Council <br />Cham~er at 7:30 on Friday night, June 13th, for the purpose of considering Daylight Savings Time for the City of <br />Portsmouth. <br /> By Order of the Vice President." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr., Honghton to suspend the rules ~o hear from anyone interested in the <br />question of the City of Portsmouth going on Daylight Savings Time, was adopted. <br /> <br />The following people spoke in favor of Daylight Savings Time: <br /> <br /> Talliafero Boatwright <br />Marshall Butt, for Supervisors, 5th Naval District <br />Conmmnder Gilchrist, Naval Shipyard <br />H.M. Sedberry <br />George A. Garrett <br />Clyde Fitch <br />Gaston Foote <br />Jack W~I 1 ace <br />Edward Horton <br />Wm. Culpepper <br />Mrs. Overton <br />F.D.
