and on which a small playground is being operated and I find that there is a tall hedge -along one side of the
playground which is more or less a hazard and a hazard and a hiding place for undesirables in the area.
There is also located on a portion of the playground.a number of garages
for placing automobiles By private owners. Several of the garages have reached a state of deterioration zo the
exten~ that they ~re.not being used.
I recommend that theme~garages - be removed ~immediately and that those-
which are now being occupied, thatthe zenanzs be nozified tha~ when their present agreement expires, the lease
will not be renewed, and at ~whichtime all garages be removed. When Sa he hedge and garages have been removed, then
it will he-necessary zo plac~ a good ~ubstantial fence along the street sides of the playground property in order
~o make it safe for the children to play. This will require, an appropriation, but until such time as the garages
have been removed~and2the lease contraezs~expire, it will not be necessary to appropriate funds for'the lmprovemen .
