<br /> The Association was advised by Wilbur Smith &Associates, a traffic engineering
<br />firm which it contacted for information on this sub,eot, that a qu~ta$iom of $12,000.00 had Be~n given to the
<br />City of Portsmouth fora general traffic survey and parkingsurvey for the City.
<br /> The Associ~ion feels that this type of survey is so essential and the subject of
<br />dovnatown parking and traffic movement is so vital a problem, that. it has authorized me to ~nform the City Co~ucil
<br />through you that it will stand half the expenses of $$,000.00 of the fee quote~by Wilbur Smith & Associates, if
<br />the City of Portsmouth would direct the survey to be made and st~ud the other half of this expense. We would
<br />appreciate your submission of this subject to the next meeting of the City Council."
