Stowe was assessed for tangible personal ~roperty <br />valued aT $169.00 with taxes amounting ~o ~4.40. The assessmeuT in question pertains to an automobile. Our in- <br />vestigation shows that car was no~ owned by him on January 1~ 1955. The taxpayer has paid the above tax as shown <br />by his receipted tax bill #24314 ~ as this is definitely an erroneous assessment, we sincerely request that a <br />refund in the a~ount of $4.40~beI~ade to the T~xpayer." <br /> <br /> "Please be advised that Clinton A Wiggins was assessed for ~angible personal property <br />valued at $700.00 with taxes amounting to $19.25. The assessment in question pertains to an automobile. Our inves- <br />tigation shows that car was not owned by him on January l, 1955. The taxpayer has paid the above tax as shown by <br />his receipted tax bill #24346 and as this is3~efinitely an erroneous assessment, we sincerely reques~ that a re- <br />fund in the amount ~f $19.25~e~ade to the taxpayer." <br /> <br /> "Please be advised tha~ V T Shes has been assessed for tangible personal property <br />valued at $2,640.00 with taxes amounting to $72o60. Our investigation reveals that the correct assessment should <br />have been $350°00 with taxes amounting ~o $9.63, representing an over-assessmenT in Taxes amounting ~o $62.97. <br /> Mr. Shes kas paid the original t~x of $72.60 as evidenced by his receipted tax bill <br />#13844. AS this is definitely an overpayment of $62.97, we sincerely request that a refund in the amount of $~2.9 <br />be raade to Mr. She~." <br /> <br />Motion of Mr. Howard that refunds be granted, was adopted. <br /> <br /> <br />
