Clemons, Bernard D. <br /> Griffin, Sr., James T. Martin, Cameron C. Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., J. Thomas <br /> Benn t11, Ronald W. Massie, City Manager, W. Eugene White, Assistant City <br /> Attorney. <br /> <br /> 97-176 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City <br /> Manager's Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 <br /> p.m., Monday, June 16, 1997, for the purpose of an executive session. <br /> <br /> By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into Executive Session <br /> pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> 1) Consideration of the condition, acquisition or use of real property for a <br /> public purpose, as permitted by Subsection (A)(3). <br /> <br /> The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, pursuant to Section 2.1- <br /> 344,1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's <br /> knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br /> (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br /> requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br /> (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by <br /> which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in <br /> the meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br /> The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> On motion meeting adjourned at 6:28 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVED - <br /> <br /> Dr. James W.
