At a regular meeting of the City Council, held on August 20th, 1957, there were <br /> <br />B. W. Baker, W. E. Hinton, Frank L. Kirby~ John E. Scott, H. Earl Weiseman, <br />I.G. Vass,~City Manager, and B.C. Barclay, City Attorney. <br /> <br />The following Notice of Zoning Changes was read: <br /> <br /> 57-289 - "Pursuant to the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, notice is hereby <br />given thai a Public Hearing will be held at 7:30 P.M., on Tuesday, August 20th, 1957, in the Council Chamber, <br />Municipal Building, Portsmouth, Va. on the following application: <br /> <br /> 1. Roy W. Allmond to rezone property located on the northern side <br />of Gosport Road, beginning 53 feet east of Evergreen Place, fronting 53 <br />feet on:Gosporz Road by 100 feet deep; lots 3 and 4, block 3. <br />Application m rezone from 'B' SINGLE FAMILY ~WELLING DISTRIC~ t~ "C' TWO <br />FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT." <br /> <br /> "The following petition for amendment to the zoning map was considered at the meeting <br />of the Planning Commission on Ju~y 19th, 1957. The petition was received by the Planning Commission too late to <br />be advertised in time for the July 16th meeting of ~City Council. Recommendation of the Planning Commission is <br />hereby transmitted for consideration hy Council ar the next regular meeting for public hearings. <br /> 1. Roy W.
