These changes <br />are attached with rea~on~s~ why I~feel the~ are necessary." - - <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. KirBy that the City's legislators be requested To introduce permissive <br />legislation allowing the City to increase the warms in'the City to not less than ten nor more than fifteen, was <br />adopted. <br /> Motion of Er. Kirby that the legislators be requested to introduce legislation in ref- <br />erence to penalties £or license violation, by changing the City ~har%er ~emoving~t~ following words: <br /> <br /> "provided such penalty shall not excaed five per centum of the amount of <br />Eaxes levied against such person" was adopted. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Smith not to concur in the recommendation of electing five Justices of <br />Peace at large, was adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Bartlett, Baker,.Hinton, Scott, Smith, Weiseman <br />Nays: Kirby <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Kirby that the legislators be requested to introduce legislation that <br />would enable cities under the permanent assessor system prior to 1960, to continue under the permanent assessor <br />sy~tem~at the pleasure of the City Council, regardless of the 1960 census, was adopted. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Hinton that the legislators he requested to introduce legislation that <br />~ould enable the City to take possession..of proper~y upon the commencement of condemnation proceedings,was adopted.i <br /> <br /> 57-453 - Motion of Mr. Kirby that the City Council consider the re-appointment of the City Assesf- <br />sor was adopted and.with unanimous consent. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Smith that ~Lr.
