<br />The following reports from the City Manager~were presented:

<br /> 58-192 - "I submit a list of streets and estimate of cost of improvements thereon pre-
<br />pared by the Director of Public Works. These streets are approach streets for the proposed Mid City Shopping Cen-
<br />ter and should be constructed as soon as possible in order that work can proceed on the shopping center.
<br />
<br /> I recommend that this project be approved and that an appropriation in the
<br />sum of $60,000.00 be placed, on first reading to finance the project, and that it be included in a Capital Improve-
<br />ment Program."
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Minton to place an appropriation of SSO,000.00 for said purpose on first
<br />reading was adopted, and by the following vote:

<br />earnestly requests that the City give permission to radio Station WCMS to use loud speakers for their live show
<br />on High St., Saturday, ~une 28th, 1958. We would also appreciate it if you will grant the automobile dealers per
<br />mission to display their new cars on the same date.
