MaBagey, and J.S. <br />Livepay, City Attorney, .. <br /> <br /> The meeting was opened with prayer by M~, Weiseman. <br /> <br /> Minutes of regu~a~ meeting of September 9~h, 19~8 and called meeting of September l~h, <br />were read and approved. <br /> <br />1958, <br /> <br /> The City Clerk prpsented the following resolution: <br />58-293 - "RESOLVED by She Council of the City of Portsmouth: <br /> <br />The Council expresses its grave concern over the recent events which affect the <br />public schools in this area and theie effect upon the education and welfare of <br />the childre~ in the public schools. The;denial of education to these children <br />may cause untold damage to the children and their parents. In this crisis it is <br />our duty to stand together and to render assistance within the limits of our re - <br />sources to these ~hildren in order that education may not be irreparably impaired. <br /> <br />It is. possible that school'facilities and personnel are available within this City <br />which could be employed to assist in educating children whose education has been <br />dis.rBpted by recent, events. Accordingly.
