<br /> Except as provided below, Council will take no action with respec~ ~o a fare increase for a
<br /> trial period of slxmonths during which %ime Port~mouth T~hnsi~ Company will immediately extend its services i~t(
<br /> the annexed areas of th&City in accGrdance with~'rohte~ shown ih the ap~lication'of February 9th, 19~0, and will
<br /> pu~ into effect every reasonable economy.
<br /> If ior any two consecutive months duriflg the aforesaid six months trial period, the operati~.g
<br /> results show that the Portsmouth Transit Company is not earning an ~dequate return, the Council will act promptl
<br /> on an application for s fare in~re&se to produce an adequat~ return~
<br /> The City will immediately take whatever s~eps are uecessary to eliminate, as soon as possib e,
<br /> Community Motor Bus Company's intra city operations and Portsmouth Transit Company will assist the City in every
<br /> way possible.
<br /> During the trial period, Portsmouth Transit Company will reflect all earnings of Portsmouth
<br /> Truck Repair Company and Portsmouth Transit Company will push its charter business and all charter work origi-
<br /> nating in Portsmouth will be a part'of Portsmouth Transit Company's gross income.
<br /> All other previous proposals will b e deferred during the six months trial period."

<br />into the anuexed areas of the City of Portsmouth with rou~es shown in the applicatiou of February 9th, 1960, and
<br />will put into ~ffect ~evemy reasonable economy~
<br /> If for any ~wo consecutive men,ha, after the first month of said operation, during the
<br /> aforesaid s~x months trial period, the operating results show that the Portsmouth Transit Company is no~ earning
<br /> a r~turn equal ~o the average of the last five years, the Council will again hear the Transit Company in order
<br /> that additio ual facts may be presented., on au application for a fare ~ncrease to produce .an adequate return°
<br />
<br /> The City will request the Community Motor Bus Company to cease its intra city operations
<br />during the six months period.
<br /> During the trial period, Portsmouth Transit Company will reflect all earnings of Portsmouth
