292 Janua~ At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, January 20, 1998, there were present: Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., Cameron C. Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., J. Thomas Benn Ill, City Manager Ronald W. Massie, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. 98- 10 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Manager's Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, City Hall, 6th floor, 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 1998, for the purpose of an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, for discussion or consideration of the condition, acquisition and use of real property for a public purpose and the disposition of publicly held property, said real property being in the downtown area, as permitted by Subsection (A)(3). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (l) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
