A.~Korb Jr~ City Attorney. <br /> <br />The meeting was opened with p~ayer by Mr. Knight. <br /> <br />~inutes of regular meeting held on Oc$ober 22, t963, were read and approved. <br /> <br />The following corm~unications from the City Manager were reed: <br /> <br /> 63-256 - "I submit the attached ordinance and recommend it be placed on first reading. <br /> This leases the stadium zo ~he' Tidewater Connuumity Baseball Corporation for professional h~eball <br />for the 1964 season with o~tional renewals for four additional years. <br /> Bids were received and opened for this--tease on November 6, 1963,~and only one bid was received, <br />from the Tidewe~r Cemmunity Baseball Corporation." <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Knight, the following ordinance was approved on first reading: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO 'PROVIDE FOR THE LEASING OF FRANK D. LAWRENCE STADIUN FOR THE: PLAYING <br />OF PROt~ESSIONAL BASEBALL DURING THE 1964 SEASON WITH OPTIONAL RENEWALS FOR FOUR <br />ADDITIONA~ SEASONS" <br /> <br /> 63-257 - "I submit the attached ordinance and recommend i~ be placed on first' reading. Th~s <br />amends the Fire and Police Retirement plan ~o allow additional benefits by providing a pension for widows. <br /> They would receive an annual allowance of twelve hundred dollars payable monthly if the member at <br />date ef death has five er more yearsef ser*ice.
