<br />At a regular meeting of the City Council, held .on Jun? 23rd, 1964, there were present:

<br />R. Irvine Smith, C. S. Atkinson, Jack P. Bar%es, John L. Dill.~, George D Eastes, L. L. Knight,
<br />W. T. Leery, A. P. Johnson, ~r., city Manager, and M. A. Korb, Jrt, City A.ttorney.

<br />The meeting was opened with pr~yer by Mr. Eastes.
<br />
<br />Minute,_of the regular meeting held on June 9th, 196~, were read end approved.
<br />The follow~ng_reports from the City Manager ~ere read:

<br /> These agreements cov~r the instal.lationof a transmission tower, being conu~ructed adjacenn Eo
<br />Vic~tory Boulevard, south of t~e Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
<br /> It is necessary for one of the footings of this_~ower to ~e~ placed on a parcel of city owned
<br />proper~y, this being the reaso~ ~0~ ~he requ~s~ of the execution of t~ese agreemenss.
<br /> Th~s ~s ,adjacent ~o the Norfolk-Portsmouth~Belt Line Railroad Company tracks on an odd sk~p~d
<br />piece of property that will no~ he affected ~by the constrict%on' qf ~h~s tower.
<br /> It has been.reviewed by city of~fiqials and will not be detr%me~tal 5o~the city's. ~nterest.'

<br /> Motion of Mr. Dillon that the proper ci.~y officials be authorized, to sign the agreemen~s~ ~as
<br />adopted, withou$ dissenting vo~e.
<br />
<br /> 64-141 - "I submit herewith a petition concerning the ~raffic situation a~ Route 58 and
<br />Victor3rBo~levard.
<br /> This zs forwarded ~o me by Mr. Clyde W. Cooper, Attorney and it is my understanding that he
<br />would like ~o be heard on this ma~er.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes that action be deferred until nex~ meeting and that ihe City Manager report
<br />on the mat~er at that time, was ~dopted~ without dis~enting..vq~e. . . · .

<br /> 64-142 - "I recommend tha~ I be authorized to nransfer appropriations in the 1963-64 budget as
<br />per the attached list.
<br /> These transfers cover appropriation accounts that have had unexpected expenditures d~ring: th~
<br />pa$~ year.
