Korb, City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br /> The meeting was opened with prayer ~y Mr. Leafy. Minutes of regular meeting of November <br />23rd,1965 and called meeting of November 29th, 1965 were read and approved. <br /> 65-513 - The following hearing on zoning spplications and use permit was held: <br /> <br />Z 65-28 - Petition of Attorney Donald Kilgore. <br /> <br />Donald C, Kilgore spoke. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. JOhnson, the following ordinance was approved on first reading, <br />without dissenting vote: <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDIN~%NCE Z 65-28" <br /> <br />Z 65-29 - Petition of City Planning Commission. <br /> <br />No one spoke in regard to the application. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Knight, the following ordinance was approved on first reading, <br />without dissenting vote: <br /> <br />"ZONING AMEND~,~NT ORDINANCE Z 65-29" <br /> <br />Z 65-$2 - Petition of Attorney J. S. hivesay, Jr. <br /> <br />The following spoke~'~ne application. <br />Dennis McMurran, attorney. <br />Earl Lohman, #8 Bradley Avenue. <br />W. D. Whitehurst, 4507 Portsmouth Boulevard. <br />Mrs. Lorine Bond, #7 Bradley Avenue. <br /> <br />The following petitions were pre~ented: A and B. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Dillon to concur in the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br />to disapprove the application, was adopted, withou~ dissenting vote. <br /> <br />Use Permit 65-9 - Petition of Tidewater Chris-Craft Company, Inc. <br /> <br />The following people spoke against the application: <br /> <br />David Levine <br />John A. MacKenzie <br />Donald Kilgore, representing Ocean House <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Bastes to refer to a conference of Council before making a final <br />decision was adopted, and-by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Dillbn, Bastes, Johnson, Leafy <br />Nays: Smith, Knight <br /> <br />The following reports from the City Manager were read: <br /> <br /> 65-314 - "I submit the attached ordinance and recommend that it be placed on <br />first reading. This appropriates $100,000 for the construction of a sewer line and pumping stations <br />for the new armory and for modifications to the Bunche Boulevard pumping station. <br /> Bids were received on November 24, 1965, for the construction of this <br />sewer line and pumping stations.
