<br /> ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION NUMBERED S-S.1, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO KEEP ANY
<br /> POULTRY OR O~tBR FOWL WHICH CROW OR MAKE ANY OTHER NOISE BETWEEN CERTAIN HOURS
<br /> I~HICH ANNOYS OR INJURES THE HEALTM OF OTHER PEOPLE, MAKING EACH DAY'S KEEPING
<br /> OF SUCH POULTRY A SEPARATE OFFENSE AND PROVIDING PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THERETO"
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes to refer the following ordinance to a
<br />conference of Council was adopted, without dissenting vote.
<br />
<br /> 66-8 - "I recommend that the Architectural firm of Yates ~ Bogas be
<br />authorized to pro, ced with the next ohase of the jail and court facilities. This will be the detailed
<br />engineering and advertising for bids.
<br /> It is anticipated that bids can be advertised and received the
<br /> latter part of April 1966.
<br /> The estimated cost of this project is approximately 4 1/2 million
<br />dollars, with an estimated expenditure of approximately 2 million dollars the first year."
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes that the City Manager be authorized to
<br />proceed with the work as recommended, was adopted, without dissenting vote.
<br />
<br /> 66-9 - "I submit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption.
<br />This commends Mr, Hugh Tribble for his honor of being elected President of Professional Photographers of
<br />;umerica,"
<br />
<br />The following resolution was adopted and presented to Mr. Tribble
<br />
<br />by the Mayor,
<br />
<br /> "'B~{EREAS, Mr. Hush W. Tribble has been honored by his fellow
<br />professional photographers by being elected President of the Professional Photographers of America; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, The said Hugh W. Tribble is the first Virginian to
<br />hold this high office in the eighty-six year history of the said organization; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Tribble's election to the highest office his
<br />professional holleagues can bestow has brought fame and honor throughout the land to the City of Portsmouth,
<br />Virginia.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
<br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that Mr. Hugh W. Tribble be here~y commended on behalf of the citizens of this City
<br />for the honor that he has received.
<br />
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of ~his resolution be spread
<br />upon ~the minutes of this council and that a copy be presented to the said Hugh W. Tribble."
<br />
<br /> 66-10 - "I submit the attached me~81ntion snd recommend its adoption.
<br /> The Community Motor Bus Company has requested permission to
<br />change their headways on all the lines except Cavalier Manor and River Park. On the remaining lines,
<br />they propose to maintain the same daily schedule until 7:00 p.m., and to change the headway times from
<br />60 minutes to 2 hours after that time.
<br /> This resolution will allow them to do so, effective January 25,
<br />1966."
<br />
<br />On motion of Mr. Knight, the following'resolution was adopted,
<br />
<br />without dissenting vote,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, by resolution adopted September 26, 1963, routes and
<br />headways were designated for intra-urb~an buses pursuant to Section 5-24 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth,
<br />Virginia, 1961, as amended; and
<br /> WHEREAS, Community ~tor Bus Company, Incorporated, has requested
<br /> that bus headways be modified on the hereinafter specified routes.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the douncil of the City of
<br />· ortsmouth, Virginia that from and after 2:00 A.M., January 25, 1966, sections 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.6, 2,7,
<br /> 2.8, 2.9, 2.10, 2.12 and 2.15 of the aforesaid resolution be amended to read as follows:

<br />Section 2.2. Headways for Routes 1 and 2.
<br />
<br /> On bus lines known as 1 and 2 headways will be every thirty-five
<br />minutes from 5:50 a.m. to 9:50 ~,m. and every forty minutes from 9:50 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. From 8:00 p.m. to
<br />I 2:00 midnight every two hundred and twenty minutes andevery two hufidred and twenCy minutes on Sundays and
<br />holidays.

<br /> Section 2.5. Headways for Routes S and
<br />
<br /> On bus lines known as S and $-A headways will be every thirty
<br />minutes from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. From 7:00 p.m. to 12:50 a.m. every one hundred and twenty minutes.
<br />5very Saturday every sixty minutes from 5:00 a.m.,to 8¢00.,a.m. and every thirty minutes~from 8:00 a.m. to
<br />7~00!P;m. From 7:00 p.m. to 12:50 a.m. every one hundred and twenty minutes and every one hundred and
<br />twenty minutes on Sundays and holidays.

<br />Section 2.4. Headways for Route 4.
<br />
<br /> On bus line known as 4 headways will be every thirty minutes
<br />from 5:00 a.m.~to 7:00 p.m. every one hundred and twenty minutes fr~m 7:00 p.m. to 12:S0 a,m. and every
<br />one hundred and twenty minutes on Sundays and holidays. .~ '
