<br />66-9S - The following communication from the Planning Director was read:
<br />~.-~i5 ~ "-At its regular monthly meeting on April S, 1966, the City Planning
<br />Commission resolved to recommend closure of Griffin Street east of Dinwiddie Street to the Seaboard
<br />Air Line Railroad tracks, subject to retention of necessary utility easements."
<br />
<br />Motion of Mr. Eastes to refer to the City Attorney was adopted,
<br />
<br />without dissenting vote;
<br />
<br /> 66-96 - The following communication from the Planning Director was read:
<br /> "At its regular monthly meeting on April 5, 1966, the City Planning
<br />Commission resolved to recommend that "VANCOUVZR STREET" from H0dges Ferry Road to Nottingham Road be
<br />dropped and replaced by "SNEAD FAIRWAY".
<br /> Frequently, confusion arises over the fact that this street with
<br />two street names intersects Hodges Ferry Road on a common centerline.
<br />
<br /> The Commission anticipates no problem from this change since there
<br />are neither adresses nor vacant lots on Vancouver Street which cannot be extended."
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes to refer to the City Attorney for the proper
<br />ordinance was adopted, without dissenting vote.

<br />66-97 - The following communication from the City Clerk was read:

<br /> Motion of Mr. Johnson to go into the elect~on of four members to
<br />tile Museum Board, for a three year term, beginning May 1, 1966, was adopted.

<br /> Mr. Johnson nominated Judge Henry W. MacKenzie, Judge R. F. McMurran,
<br />Mrs. A. P. Long, Jr., and Mrs. James S. Morse.

<br />Motion of Mr. Barnes to close the nominations was adopted.

<br /> Vote being taken, Judge MacKenzie, Judge McMurran, Mrs. A. P. Long, Jr.,
<br />and Mrs. James S. Morse were unanimously elected to the Museum Board of Directors.
<br />
<br />66-98 - The following communication from the Superintendent of Schools was
<br />
<br />read:

<br /> "The School Board requests that the City Council appropriate $30,000
<br />capital funds to match a ~i~t of $50,000 to air condition the auditorium and other designated spaces at
<br />Cradock H%gh~School. ~nen this work is completed, then all of the senior high school auditoriums will be
<br />air conditioned."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes to concur in the recommendation of the
<br />S~perintendent for the use of the funds as ~equested,. was adopted, without dissenting vote.

<br /> 66-99 - The Mayor announced his recommendation of the following for election
