Mc34urran, resi~ned, which term expires on May I, 1B69. <br /> <br /> 68-538 - Motion of Mr. King to go into the election of a member to the Parking Authority was adopted, <br />without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> Mr. Smith nominated Leon Lasting, to fill the fa~A~y created by the resignation of D. W. Culpepper. <br /> On motion of Mr. ~hnson, nominations were closed. <br /> <br /> Vote being taken, Mr. Lasting was elected a member of the Parking Authority, for a term ending <br />May 1, 1972, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> 68-559 - Motion of Mr. Bastes to go into the election of a member to the Portsmouth Supplemental <br />Retirement Board. <br /> <br /> Mr. Smith nominated Richard D. Ottavio. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Bastes, nominations were closed. <br /> <br /> Vote being taken, Mr..O~tavio was elected a member of the Retirement Board, to fill the vacancy created <br />by the resignation ~f Mr. Murden, which term expires on September 30, 1969, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> 68-540 - Motion of Mr. Turner to go into the election of members to the Charter S~udy Commission was <br />adopted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Johnson nominated the following: <br /> <br /> A. Sandie <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. King to close nominations was adopted. <br /> <br /> Vote being taken, those nominated were elected members of the Portsmouth Charter Study Commission. <br /> <br /> 68-541 - Motion of Mr. Bastes that the Council approve and heartily endorse the $81,000,000.00 Bond <br />issue, recommended by the Governor, was adopted, without disssenting vote. <br /> <br /> 68-542 - Motion of Mr. Johnson that a study be made of a one hundred per cent city-financed project <br />to provide a four lane highway from Churchland Bridge to Cedar Lane, was adopted, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br />APPROVED - <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
