Whereas ~e do not object to a reasonable amount of penalty added, we feel this mmount is entirely <br />~reasonable since it was merely overlooked by our booRkeeping department and being only eight days late. <br /> <br /> Your consideration of a partial rebate would be greatly appreciated." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Turner to deny the request Was adopted, without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> 68-SS7 - The following resolution ~a~ read, and on motion of Mr. Smith, unan~ously adopted: <br /> <br /> "A ~SOLUTION COP.{,~ENDING X. D. MURD~ FOR HIS ~RVICES TO ~ CITY OF PORTSMOUTH <br /> <br /> ~g, Mr. X. D. Murden has served~the City of Portsmouth for a period of S1 years; and <br /> <br /> ~Y~RBAS, during his tenure and as a result of ~%s ~idance ~d dedication, the Portsmouth Water Depart- <br />ment has extensively increased the quality ~d qu~t~ty of the services rendered to the citizens of Portsmouth <br />and <br /> <br /> I~{EREAS, the citizens of Portsmouth are deeply indebyed to Mr. X. D. ~rden for his diligence in their <br />behalf from which they have greatly benefited. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~SOLVED by the Co~cil of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, this 22nd day of <br />October, 1968~ that the meank~g~nl contributions made by Mr. X.
