November 18th, 1968. <br /> <br />At a called meeting of the City Council, held at 9:30 A.M., on November 18th, 1968, there were <br /> <br />Jack P Barnes, George D. Eastes, James W. Holley, Isaac W. Kint, R. Ir vine Smith, <br />Raymond Turner, A. P. Johnson,Jr., City Manager, M. A. Korb, Jr., City Attorney, <br />and R.D. Ottavio, City Auditor. <br /> <br />The meeting was opened with prayer by Mr. King.. <br /> <br />The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br />"You are requested to attend a called meeting of the City Council, in the Council <br />Chamber, at 9:30 A M , on Monday, November 18th, 1968, to consider a request from <br />the Portsmouth School Board for an appropriation for the Merrifields School." <br /> <br /> 68-378 - Motion of Mr. Smith to approve the request of the School Board for an appropriation of <br />$2,838,636.00 to cover the cost of construction and fixed equipment for the Merrifields School, was adopted, <br />without dissenting vote. <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />Approved - <br /> <br /> / President <br /> <br /> <br />
