,qe~tember 30. 1969

Petition Z 69-56 - David I. Levine.

No one spoke in regard to the application.

On motion of Mr. Tu~n~ the following ordinance was approved on first reading ,(zeRing R-60), without
dissenting vote;

"ZONING Ak~ND}~NT ORDINANCE Z 69-$6"

Petition Z 69-57 - William C, Young, Jr. and William S~ Stublen, Jr.

Attorney Richard Bartlett spoke for the application.

Mrs. Duane Christiansen spoke and presented the following petition in opposition to the application:

"We t]xe undersigned object to the proposed zoning change .for the property beginning at the southwest
corner of Rex Street and Morris Street; thence along Rex Street 194.8 feet; thence 100 feet in a southerly
direction; thence east along rear line 212.76 feet to Morris Street; thence north 100 feet to point of origin,
from R-TS to R-60 by M_r. William C. Young, Jr. and Mr. William S. Stublen, Jr. for the following reasons:

1. The classification R-60 would result in spot zoning which in turn would open the neighborhood
for possible future zoning changes which in turn would possibly deteriorate the neighborhood.

2. Due to the overcorowded conditions of our schools we feel that any more r~ulti-dwelling traits
in Cradock would add to the existing condition. The result would be detrimental to our children's
education.

5. We feel that multi-dwelling areas are the first part of a neighborhood to become ~undm~m, and since
we have worked h'ard to improve and maintain our homes and property, we don't want to have this
possibility occur.

4. Beaause of existing multi-dwelling units the area on Morris Street is overcorwded with parked cars.
We feel this same condition would occur on R6x Stmeet .and, add to the already hazardous driving
conditions and danger to our small children.

S. Since Cradock property owners association has already petitioned the zoning board through
Mr. B. Moore, to refuse any future zoning changes which w~uld allow multi-dwelling units we would
like to add our petitions to theirs, and to p~esent to the Planning Commission a copy of the r~pity
of Mr. Moore to Cradock ~roperty ~vners Association. (Signed - Property O~mers of Cradock -
J. E. Brogan, etc.)"

Motion Of Mr. King to concur in the Planning Commission's recommendation to deny the application, was
adopted, without dissenting vote.

Petition Z 69-38 - Mrs. Gladys S. Matthews by R-B R~alty Inc.

Harold Beaver spoke, representing Mrs. Matthews.

The following spoke in opposition:

M~s. Jean Backus Mrs. Markham
R.~A.
