November 10. 1998 <br /> <br />2. William Copeland, 2'107 StaU~{~n Avenue, <br /> visibility and patrOlslfor the American Legion. <br /> <br />3. Reverend James Griffin, 1528 Maple Avenue, spoke of the condition of <br /> the Prentis Place community. <br /> <br />requested more police <br /> <br /> MOtion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Benn, to go into EXecutive <br />Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the COde of Virginia, for <br />discussion or consideration of the following: <br /> <br />1. Performance of specific public officers, appointees, or employees of the <br /> City, as permitted by Subsection (A)(1); <br /> <br />Motion was adopted by unan mous vote. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to <br />SeCtion 2.1-344.1 of the Code of virginia ~rt fying that to the best of the CoUncil <br />Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding ExeCutive Session of the <br />City Council: ' <br /> <br />1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br /> reqUirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br />Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by <br />which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or~ <br />considered in the meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On mOtion, meeting adjourned at 11:45 p.m. <br /> <br />'Minutes prepared by: <br /> <br />Debbie K.
