Kirby to be appointed for a four-year term beginning November 27, <br />1998 and ending June 30, 2002, replacing Haroleen D. Ray. <br /> <br />MUSEUM AND FINE ARTS COMMISSION <br /> <br />Lelia G. Webb to be appointed for a three-year term beginning~November <br />27, 1998 and ending October 31, 2001, replacing Judy Perry. <br /> <br />Martha A. Walls. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to close the <br />nominations, and there being no further nominations, the above <br />nominations were adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />98-267 Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Benn, to amend and approve <br />the City Attorney's salary with general wage adjustment of ~% pay raise <br />and to make adjustment retroactive to July 1, 1998. <br /> <br />· Vice Mayor Griffin acknowledged Mayor Holley's birthday. <br /> <br />98-268 Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Margaret Gupta, 5009 Garner Avenue, spoke concerning the need to fix <br /> uP the Churchland Branch library. <br /> <br />Ramona Mapp, 2901 Tanbark Lane, spoke concerning the need to fix up <br />the Churchland Branch library. <br /> <br />3. Bill Watson, 4740 West Norfolk Road, spoke concerning enforcement of <br /> law regarding illegal transports and vehicles for hire. <br /> <br />City Attorney will look into allegations of Mr. Watson. Council asked <br />the City Manager for a report in conjunction with the City Attorney <br />report. <br /> <br /> <br />
