5OO <br /> <br />December 8. 1998 <br /> <br />PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT & HOUSING AUTHORITY <br /> <br />Dorita Epps to be reappointed to fill a four-year term ending August 31, 2002. <br /> <br />Lee King to be reappointed to file a four-year term ending August 31, 2002. <br />AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES <br /> <br />Diana Creecy to be reappointed to fill a three-year term ending December 31, 2001 <br />Joan Patterson to be reappointed to fill a three-year term ending December 31,2001. <br />Deborah Prest to be reappointed to fill a three-year term ending December 31, 2001. <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Robert Barclay to be reappointed to fill a four-year term ending December 31,2002. <br />INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> <br />William Kline to be reappointed to fill a four-year term ending December 31, 2002. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to close the nominations, <br />and there being no further nominations, the above nominations were adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />98 - 274 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />> Councilman Berm spoke on the joint meeting held earlier in the evening with the <br /> members of the School Board. <br /> <br />> Councilman Moody spoke concerning the recent newspaper article which placed <br /> Cradock in the Midtown community. <br /> <br />98 - 275 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Wayne Williams, 1136 Melvin Drive <br /> <br /> spoke concerning the easement fronting his <br /> property and various drainage problems. <br /> <br />2. Helen Person, 1314 Green Street, expressed her dissatisfaction with the proposed <br />temporary relocation facilities proposed for the residents of Washington Park. <br /> <br />3. Sabrina Vinson, 1439 Green Street, expressed her dissatisfaction with the <br /> proposed temporary relocation facilities proposed for the residents of Washington <br /> Park. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to allow Mr. Bazemore <br />five additional minutes to speak, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />4. James Bazemore, 914 Taft Drive spoke in opposition to the rezoning of his <br /> <br />property at 1513 Columbus Avenue. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned at 8:43 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVED- <br /> <br />Dr. James W.
