May 17, ,1971 At a called meeting of the City Council and Planning Commission on public hearing, held on May 17, 1971, there were present: Jack P. Barnes, James W. Holley, Burrell R. Johnson, Isaac W. King, R. Irvine Smith, Raymond B. Smith, Raymond Turner, A. P. Johnson, Jr. City Manager, and M A. K6rb Jr., City Attorney. ' · , Prayer was offered by Mr. King. The following'call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a called meeting with the City Council and the Planning Commission on Monday, May 17, 1971, at 7:30 P.M., in the City Counicl Chambers, for the put.pose of holding a joint public hearing on and for consideration of the following ordinances: :~AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, 1961, BY AMEND- lNG SECTION 5-7 THEREOF, ESTABLISHING MINIMUM PLOT WIDTHS FOR ROW HOUSES IN THE RESIDENTIAL R-7S DISTRICT.~: ~!AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE ING SECTION 5-8 THEREOF, ESTABLISHING MINIMUM PLOT RESIDENTIAL R-60 AND R-60-A DISTRICTS.~ CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, 1961, BY AMEND- WIDTHS FOR ROW HOUSES IN THE Copies of the ordinances are enclosed." 71-213 - On motion of Mr. Raymond Smith, the following ordinance was approved on first reading, and by the following vote: "AN ORDINANCE TO R~ND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH 1961, BY AMENDING SECTION 5-7 THEREOF, ESTABLISHING MINIMUM PLOT WIDTHS FOR RO~ HOUSES IN THE RESIDENTIAL R-7S DISTRICT." Ayes: Holley, Johnson, King, Irvine Smith Raymond Smith, Turner, Barnes Nays: None. ' 71-214 - On motion of Mr. Raymond Smith, the following ordinance ~as approved on first reading, and by the following vote: "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CIPY OF PORTSMOUTH, 1961, AMENDING SECTION S-8 THEREOF, ESTABLISHINS MINIMUM PLOT WIDTHS FOR ROW HOUSES IN THE RESIDENTIAL R-60 AND R-6D-A DISTRICTS."
