<br /> On motion of Mr. Turner and seconded by Mr. Irvine Smith, to dispense with the reading
<br />of the minutes of the January 11, 1972, City Council meeting and to approve as presented to
<br />the Council, was adopted by the following vote:

<br />Chesapeake and the future interchange with Route 164, Western Freeway.

<br /> Due to the narrow width of North Street in this area, the Traffic Engineer has recommend
<br />ed the one-way street. The street is only 14 feet wide and when vehicles are parked, it
<br />creates two problems. Traffic is blocked and cannot move in two directions or vehicles
<br />are driven onto residents' lawns, making an unsightly situation.

<br />This establishes fees to be charged for various reports furnished by the Police Department.

<br /> These charges are for reports that are furnished upon request, such as
<br />reports, record checks of individuals, fingerprints, copies of photographs,
<br />permits, etc.

<br /> There is presently a charge of one and two dollars made for these which does not cover
<br />the cost. This ordinance raises the cost to two dollars for most reports and five dollars
<br />for a photograph. These rates will bring Portsmouth's charges in line with the surrounding
