<br />was adopted, and by the following vote:

<br />"A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE
<br />STATION AT THE SOUTHEAST INTERSECTION OF AIRLINE BOULEVARD AND GREENWOOD DRIVE.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Humble Oil & Refining Company, has made application pursuant to Section
<br />4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use
<br />permit as hereinafter described; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to
<br />be done in connection with said application, and the Planning Commission has considered
<br />the granting of said use permit, subject to the conditiOns hereinafter stated.
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of POrtsmouth, Virginia:
<br />
<br /> A. That the use for which the~use permit hereinafter described is sought (1) will
<br />not adversely affect the health or safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood
<br />of the proposed use, (2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious
<br />to property or improvements in the neighborhood, and (3) will be in accord with the
<br />purposes of said Zoning Ordinance.
<br />
<br /> B. That Humble Oil & Refining Company~ is hereby granted a use permit subject to
<br /> site plan restrictions, pursuant to Section 4-2 of s~id Zoning Ordinance for the operation
<br />~of an Automotive Service Station located on t~e property described as follows:
<br />
<br />Beginning at the southeast corner of Airline Boulevard and Greenwood Drive;
<br />thence easterly along the southern line of Airline Boulevard 200 feet to a
<br />point; thence southeasterly 188.35 feet to a point; thence southwest 132.73
<br />feet to the eastern side of Greenwood Drive; thence northerly along Greenwood
<br />Drive~2OO feet to the point of beginning."
