9c November 21, 1972 Municipal Finance Commission T. Judson Wright was elected for an unexpired term, ending July 1, 1974. Tidewater Virginia Development Council (Trustees-at-large) Richard F. Wood and Herbert K. Bangel were elected to serve the year of 1975. Motion of Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Smith, nominations to be closed and members were elected to the above Boards and Commissions, and by the following vote: Ayes: Early, Holley, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes None: None Motion of Mr. Holley, seconded by Mr. Johnson, meeting adjourned at 10.35P.M. APPROVED City Clerk * "WHEREAS, in his infinite wisdom, Almighty God has called who served as a member of this Council for four years, giving conducting the affairs of this City and its citizens; and unto him Albert C. Bartlett, of his time and talents in WHEREAS, he served as a member of the Finance Commission for eight years, in a digni- fied, faithful, impartial, and business like manner; and WHEREAS, in addition to his aforesaid tenure of office, Albert C. Bartlett rendered great service to this City and his fellow citizens by active and faithful participation in numerous religious and civic affairs; and WHEREAS, the community has suffered a great loss in the passing of Albert C. Bartlett and has joined with his family, friends and associates in mourning his death and in recogni- zing the worth of his accomplisments, now THEREFORE, BE TTRESOLVED by the Council of the City of sympathy of this body, acting for the citizens of this City, the family of the late Albert C. Bartlett. Portsmouth, Virginia, that the be and hereby is extended to BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that~ those resolutions be spread upon the minutes of the Council and that copy thereof be forwarded by the City Clerk to his wife, Mrs. Mildred Bartlett, in recognition of Mr. Bartlett's respected place in this community."
