22 <br /> <br /> 73-160 - Motion of Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Smith, to investigate run, down <br />property in 400 block of London Street, to be referred to City Manager and report at next <br />Council meeting, was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Motion of Mr. Holley and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M. <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />73-138 - The following letter received from Municipal Finance Commission was read: <br /> <br /> "In reference to the School Board's request for 2278,000.00 for eperation of school <br />buses for the school year ending June 30, 1973, we wish to point our the following: <br /> <br /> Our January 8, 1973 letter to City Council, enclosed ~s a copy. We request that <br />operation of school buses be handled by the School Board until such time as State and <br />Federal funds to the school system could be properly identified, At this date, such <br />funds have not been properly identified, nor does it appear that~estimates on hand will <br />be materially less than what was originally anticipated. Also, it does not appear that <br />the School Board has made all the possible reappropriation of funds requested to cover <br />the operational costs of school busing as recommended in our letter of January 8, 1973. <br /> <br /> We, therefore, do not recommend that the City appropriate any additional funds for <br />operation of the school bus system in the amount of $~78~000.00." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Holley, to be received an~information <br />and a copy of letter be forwarded to the School Board, was adopted by unanimous vote,. <br /> <br /> <br />
