The intelligence squad concept is new <br /> to Portsmouth and it is felt that members of the squad could benefit <br /> from this seminar and enable them to perform their functions in the <br /> Police Department in a more efficient manner. <br /> <br />c.'$487 is for a program designed to upgrade the education of the Clerk <br /> of the Portsmouth General District Court through attendance of the 5th <br /> Annual Conference of the National Association of Court Administrators." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. King, the followingc~ordinance was <br />approved on first reading, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $2,561 FROM THE FEDERAL GRANTS FUND FOR THE <br />EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF COURT CLERKS, LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND <br />COMMONWEALTH'S ATTORNEY PERSONNEL." <br /> <br />Ayes: Early, Holley, Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 73-445 - "I submit the attached ordinance and <br />reading.
