"AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND ENACTING A NEW CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA; ESTABLISHING THE S~ME; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES NOT INCLUDED THEREIN; EXCEPT AS HEREIN EXPRESSLY PROVIDED; PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH CODE AND A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE F~INNER OF ~MENDING SUCH CODE; AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE." This authorizes the sale of surplus City-owned property on Jefferson Street in Prentis Park. This consists of one small jib lot. One bid was received from the Prentis Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in the amount of $350.00. It is recommended that this property be sold to the above congregation."
