May 28r 1974 74-224 Motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Early, that the Council meet in an executive sessmon prior to ~he next regularly scheduled Council meeting for the purpose of: (1) Discussing appointments to Boards and Commissions; (2) Discussing the disposition of City property; (3) Consultation with Counsel pertaining to legal matters; was adopted by the following vote: 74-225 Ayes: Early, Holley, Nays: None The following petition King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes received from residents of Cradock was read: "we the undersigned, residents of Cradock, taxpayers to the City of Portsmouth hereby petition the City of Portsmouth for curbing and guttering for two blocks of Harris Road between Nicholson Street and Reid Street. The City's plan for curbing and guttering on Harris Road does not include these two blocks. However, it does include plans to curb and gutter one. block of Harris Road between Alton Parkway and Bainbridge Blvd, AND THERE ARE NO HOUSES OR BUILDINGS FACING EITHER SIDE OF THE STREET IN THIS BLOCK OF HARRIS ROAD. Certainly the residents between Nicholson Street and Reid Street on Harris Road need this curbing more so than a block with no residents would. Signed by Ralph J.
