<br /> 74-278 The following request to speak received from Charles W. Perry, 59 W. Pollux
<br />Circle, was read:

<br /> "I hereby request to speak before the City Council meeting to be held on June 25,
<br />1974.
<br />
<br /> I wish to speak on the matter of the poor drainage situation of the Simonsdale
<br />~lementary School yard and the never ending dust that the residents and taxpayers have to
<br />endure.
<br />
<br /> I would also like to speak on the matter of the unsatisfactory material and land-
<br />scaping that was done when the storm drainage pipe was installed in my yard."

<br />Mr. P~rry spoke.

<br /> Motion of Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Wentz, to be ~eferred to the City Manager
<br />to see what can be worked out, was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> 74-2~6 - Motion of Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Smith, to go into the election
<br />of members to Boards and Commissions, was adopted ~y unanimous vote.

<br /> Mayor Barnes moved, duly seconded by Mr. Smith, to reconsider the the moticn, was
<br />adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> Amendment to motion by Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Early, to go into the elections
<br />of the persons to fill the vacancies existing at this time on_ the Boards and Commissions,
<br />was defeated by vote of 5-2 {~arly-Wen~z).
<br />
<br /> Motion to go into the election of Boards and Commissions, was adopted by unanimous
<br />vote.

<br /> Mr. Smith moved to close nominations, seconded by Mr. Johnson, and Mr. Bartlett was
<br />re-elected to the Board of Architectural Review for a term of five years, eff6e~i~May 1,

<br />year term; effective July 1, 1974, expiring July 1, 1978; Mr. Gray elected to fill an
<br />unexpired term, expiring July 1, 1976, was adopted by unanimous vote.
