April 13, 1999 <br /> <br /> (b) That Amendment No. 4 meets the requirements of a plan for a <br /> conservation and redevelopment project pursuant to Chapter 1 of Title 36 of the Code <br />of Virginia, 1950, as amended. <br /> <br /> 2. That Amendment No. 4 to the Twin Pines Conservation and Redevelopment <br />Plan for the Twin Pines Conservation and Redevelopment Project, having been duly <br />reviewed and considered, is hereby approved and adopted and the City Clerk is hereby <br />directed to file a copy of said Amendment with the minutes of this meeting." <br /> <br />99-86(C): <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 9 TO THE PARK VIEW <br />CONSERVATION AND REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE PARK VIEW <br />CONSERVATION AND REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by resolution adopted June 25, 1968, approved a <br />Conservation and Redevelopment Plan for the Park View Conservation and <br />Redevelopment Project, Portsmouth, Virginia (Plan); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this body for consideration and <br />approval, a copy of an amended plan for the project area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amendment No. 9 proposes to designate additional properties as <br />"To Be Acquired"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council is cognizant of the conditions that are imposed by the <br />provisions of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, <br />including those prohibiting discrimination because of race, age, color, religion, familial <br />status, handicap, sex, or national origin; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the judgment of this Council, it is in the interest of the city and its <br />inhabitants that the said Amendment be approved. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That regarding Amendment No. 9 to the Conservation and <br /> Redevelopment Project, it is hereby found: <br /> <br />(a) That the objectives of the Park View Conservation and Redevelopment Project, <br /> Portsmouth, Virginia, can be better achieved by the adoption of said Amendment to <br /> the Plan. <br /> <br />(b) That Amendment No. 9 meets the requirements of a plan for a conservation and <br /> redevelopment project pursuant to Chapter 1 of Title 36 of the Code of Virginia, <br /> 1950, as amended. <br /> <br />That Amendment No. 9 to the Park View Conservation and <br />Redevelopment Plan for the Park View Conservation and Redevelopment <br />Project, having been duly reviewed and considered, is hereby approved <br />and adopted and the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of said <br />Amendment with the minutes of this meeting." <br /> <br />99-86(D): <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 30 TO THE CRAWFORD <br />CONSERVATION AND REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE CRAWFORD URBAN <br />RENEWAL PROJECT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by resolution adopted August 1, 1967, approved a <br />Conservation and Redevelopment Plan for the Crawford Urban Renewal Project, <br />Portsmouth, Virginia (Plan); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this body for consideration and <br />approval, a copy of an amended Plan for the project area, which Plan consists of 18 <br />pages and 4 exhibits (Amendment No. 30); and <br /> <br /> <br />
