Walker, 1749 Spratley Street, spoke regarding Gag Ru~e. <br /> <br /> 75-346 Marvin W. Wallace, 313 Maryland Avenue, representing the Port Norfolk Civic <br />League spoke regarding d~owning incident in Port Norfolk area and stated that the city needs <br />a diving team. On behalf of the Port Norfolk CivicLeague, Mr. Wallace presented a check for <br />$100.00 and challenged other Civic Leagues and businessmen in the City of Portsmouth to make <br />a contribution toward the $30,000 which he understands is needed. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Elliott and seconded hy Mr. Barnes, to accept the check and thank the <br />members of Port Norfolk Civic League for their contribution, was adopted unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mrs. James A. F~lkes, 323 Mt. V~rnon Avenue, pep~esenting the Port Norfolk Civic <br />League, presented a clock to be placed in the Council Chamber. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Elliott, to accept the clock with thanks <br />from the Port Norfolk Civic League and see that it be ~sta~led, was adopted by unanimous <br />vote. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Sylvia A.
