Smith, Pastor, West Norfolk Baptist Church, opened the meeting with <br />prayer, followed by the Pledge df Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br /> Mayor Davis welcomed all visitors in attendance. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Early, minutes of the called meeting of October <br />10, 1975, to be approved as received, was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. <br />October 13, 1975, <br /> <br />Wentz and seconded by Mr. Early, minutes of the Public Hearing meeting of <br />to be approved as received, was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Wen~z and seconded by Mr. Early, minutes of th~Z~egular meeting of <br /> October 14, 1975, to be approved as received, was adopted by unan/mous vote. <br />~ Mayor Davis presented a Resolution of Appreciation to Warren L. Holland, Sr., for his <br /> services on the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> ~'~ ~Mr. Williams, City Manager, presented Certificates of Appreciation to Irving Spindel <br /> and Walter L. (See full resolution October 13,1975 <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr~ Early, the resolution was adopted, and by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Early, Elliott, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 75-41B ~e~ent to Zoning Ordinance, Section 40-48, approved on first reading at <br />the Public.~Hearing meeting of October 13, 1975, was presented, with recommendation by the <br />City Manager, to be deferred until November 25, 1975. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Wentz, to concur in the recommendation of the <br />City Manager, was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 75-418 Amendment to Zoning Ordinance, Section 40-225, being denied at the Public <br />Hearing meeting of October 1S, 1975, was presented. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Oast, the following resolution was adopted, <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION DENYING THE PETITION TO AMEND SECTION 40-225 OF THE CITY CODE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the petition of the City <br />to amend Section 40-225 of the City Code, and thereafter, recommended denial of such <br />petition; and <br /> <br /> WF~REAS, this Council held a public hearing to amend Section 40-225 and voted to <br />adopt the Planning Commission's recommendation. <br /> <br /> <br />
