Williams, City Manager, <br /> <br /> 77-296 - Public Hearing on rezoning petitions and proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendments: <br /> <br /> (a) Zoning Petition Z 77-21 - Petition of Robert E. and Mary A. Wingfield, Owners <br /> Robert E. Wingfield, 1805 Dockwood Trail, Chesapeake, spoke for the petition. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Oast, the following ordinance was approved <br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z 77-21" <br /> <br />(b) Zoning Petition Z 77-22 - Petition of Peachtree Associates, by Benjamin J. Levy, <br /> Owner. <br /> <br />Benjamin J. Levy, representing Peachtree Associates, spoke for the petition. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Barnes, the following ordinance was approved <br />on first reading, and by S-1 (nay-Oast) vote: "Z. ONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z 77-22" <br /> (c) Zoning Petition Z 77-2S - Petition of Charles F. Bass, Jr., and John M. Carter, by <br /> Agent George C. Norris, Sr. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. <br />Planning Commission, the petition was denied, <br /> <br />Barnes, to co~ncur in the recommendation of the <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Early, Elliott, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />(d) Zoning Petition Z 77-24 <br /> <br />Petition of J. Spivey, by Attorney Robert C. <br /> Barclay, III. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Early, the following ordinance was approved <br />on first'reading, and by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z 77-25" <br /> <br />(f) PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT - by the City Attorney <br /> Section 40-31 - Definition of Housing for the Elderly. <br /> <br /> On motiOn of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Elliott, to concur in the recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission of the amendment, to be approved on first reading, and was adopted <br />by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />(g) <br /> <br />PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT: DOWNTOWN HISTORIC DISTRICT - by the Director <br />of City Planning. <br /> <br />S~ction 40-102 - Designation of "Towne Square Historic District." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Oast, to concur in the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission of the amendment, to be approved on first reading, and was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED - <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
