Tayloe, Jr., City Attorney. <br /> <br /> 77-448 Public Hearing on rezoning applications, a use permit application and a proposed <br />amendment to the Zoning Ordinance: <br /> <br />(a) Zoning Petition Z 77-32 <br /> <br />Petition of Seaguard Corporation, by A. E. Verbyla, <br />President. <br /> <br /> L. D. Motley, 205 Broad Street, representing the Port Norfolk Civic League, spoke <br />regarding the p~ti.ti~n-~ but w&m,not.~n opposlt~eK to the re~fse~ ~ppZ~cation. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Holley, to concur in the recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission: the following ordinance was approved on first reading, and by <br />unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z 77-32" (See page 330) <br /> <br />(b) Zoning Petition Z 77-33 <br /> <br />Petition of Towne Point Road Investors, by Benjamin J. <br />Levy, General Partner. <br /> <br />Mr. Levy spoke for the petition. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Oast and seconded by Mr. Early to concur in the <br />Planning Commission, petition to be denied and to be referred back <br />to study the uses permitted in C-1 and C-2, and was adopted by the <br /> <br />recommendation of the <br />to the Planning Commission <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Early, Elliott, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br />Nays: Holley <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. <br />under C-1 of items <br />by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Barnes and seconded by Mr. Elliott to refer the matter of Use Permits <br />that are currently under C-2 to the Planning Commission, and was adopted <br /> <br />(c) Zoning Petition Z 77-34 <br /> <br />Petition of Prin~craft Press, Inc., Messenger Printing <br />Company, Inc., WAVY Television, Inc., Desk's Incorporated, <br />and the Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority, <br />Gordon E.
