<br /> 77-460 - "Consideration of a motion authorizing the City Manager to enter into a 10 year
<br />lease with the Simonsdale Presbyterian Church for property to be used as a City playground
<br />for the City's Recreation Department."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Holley and seconded bY Mr. Early, that the.city Mamager beiaUthorized to
<br />enter intO:a 10-year lease with the $imo~ad~le Presbyterian Church, as requested, and was
<br />adopted by ~manimous vote.

<br /> 77-461 - "Submission of a report from the City Manager outlining the direct administra-
<br />tive costs of all Federal Gran~s now being administered by the City. This report is being
<br />furnished in accordance with Councilman Barnes request."
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Early, that the report to be received as in-
<br />formation, and was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br /> 77-462 - "During Fiscal Year 1976-77, the Bicentennial Commission agreed to make
<br />available to the Commission of ArchitectUral Review, two thousand dollars in surplus appro-
<br />priated fund~ for the purpose of purchasing historical'markers for various locations in Olde
<br />Towne. No obligations were incurred against these funds during the fiscal year, and the
<br />appropriation lapsed on June 30, 1977.
<br />
<br /> The provision of historical markers at designated locations in Olde Towne remains a
<br />desirable feature in the development of the area. To meet this need, $2,000 has been trans-
<br />ferred from Emergency Contingency Funds to the Planning Department for use by the Commission
<br />of Architectural Review.
<br />
<br /> The City Code authorized the City Manager to t~ansfer funds from the Emergency Contingen(
<br />Eund to any item of expense in the City budget and requres that he report the transfer, and
<br />the reason therefore, to the City Council. This report is submitted in compliance with this
<br />requirement."
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Wentz, to accept the recommendation by the
<br />City Manager, and was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br /> 77-445 - Motion:.of Mr. Wentz and secOnded by Mr. Early, that the report from the City
<br />Manager on the operation of the burrow pit off Rivershore Road, to be received as information
<br />and was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br /> 77~446 - Motion of Mr. Holley and seconded by Mr. Barnes, that the report from the
<br />City Manager on the zoning violations at the northeast corner of Portsmouth Boulevard and
<br />Deep Creek Boulevard, to be received as information, and was adopted by unanimous vote.
