367 <br /> <br />February 13, 1978 <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />that the Council vehemently opposes any action on the pact of the General Assembly of Virgini~ <br />which would cause VPA to breach the terms and conditions set forth in the Unification Agree~ <br />merit between VPA and the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Council opposes any action of the General Assembly <br />which would limit the Virginia Port Authority from entering into negotiations with the <br />present terminal operator to extend the present legse for an additional ten' (10) year term. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is instructed to forward <br />a'certified copy of this resolution to the Governor of Virginia; the General Assembly of <br />Virginia and to the individual members of the General Assembly representing the City of Ports~ <br />mouth and the Virginia Port Authority." <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Early, Molley Oast, Wentz. Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 78-65 - Concerning restricttVe zoning - Motion of Mr. Oast and seconded by Mr. Barnes, <br />to refer to the Planning Commission for study and recommendation whether the ordinance should <br />be changed from restrictive to permissive uses as a philosophical concept, and was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />APPRO~ <br /> <br /> <br />
