ORDINANCE NO. 2026-73 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FAMILY PARTNERSHIP MEETING <br />INCENTIVE PROGRAM FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,100 FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2027 SOCIAL SERVICES FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts Family Partnership Meeting Incentive funding in the amount <br />of $2,100 from the Virginia Department of Social Services and appropriates said amount <br />in the FY 2027 Social Services Fund Budget. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Social Services <br />for the Family Partnership Meeting Incentive Program. <br />3. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Social Services Fund budget annually until expended in their entirety or recaptured <br />by the granting agency. <br />4. That a local match in the amount of 15.5% is required as a condition of the <br />funding, which match has previously been appropriated in the FY 2027 Social Services <br />Fund Budget. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2027 Social Services <br />Fund Budget are increased by $2,100. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 28, 2026. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
