ORDINANCE NO. 2025-75 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2026 GRANTS FUND FOR USE <br />BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS <br />PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts funding in the amount of $1,000 from the Virginia <br />Department of Emergency Management and appropriates said amount in the FY 2026 <br />Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services for the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2026 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $1,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 9, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
