The recent federal funding reductions have impacted the <br />scope and delivery of services that were previously provided by outside organizations. Therefore, it is <br />crucial that the health department be accessible to vulnerable populations that need care. The department <br />is partnering with clinicians through memorandum of agreements to support direct patient access and care <br />here at the health department. This plan includes the use of contract staff to assist patients navigate <br />healthcare needs and wrap around services (housing, food, medication, etc.). <br />The health department's top priorities remain reducing preventable infections, substance and tobacco use, <br />increasing immunization rates, and partnership development.
