c. The position number is the five -digit number that identifies a group of occupational <br />classes by its Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Code. The established <br />position numbers will be maintained in the human resource/payroll module of <br />MUNIS, which is the city's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. <br />d. Regular full-time and regular part-time employees of the city shall be classified and <br />graded. The compensation of each classified employee shall be determined <br />according to the Salary Schedule portion and other sections of this pay plan. <br />e. Classified positions shall be comprised of all employees, officers, and positions not <br />specifically designated as unclassified. <br />f. Part -Time Employment — The hours worked for part-time city employees shall be <br />limited to no more than 29 hours per workweek. The hourly rate of part-time <br />employees shall be determined by reference to the grade to which the employee's <br />job classification is assigned. <br />g. Temporary Employment — A position is defined as temporary when it is for a <br />specific limited time without regard to the number of scheduled hours. These <br />positions are not entitled to benefits unless authorized by the City Manager or <br />designee. Increases would only be granted if the minimum of the range increases <br />for that grade or unless authorized by the Director of Human Resource <br />Management in conjunction with the City Manager or designee. <br />h. Red Circled Condition — An employee's salary is above the maximum of the salary <br />range of the position. Any additional compensation awarded will be in the form of <br />a general wage increase. <br />i. Competitive Wage Rate — The minimum rate of pay adopted by the City Manager <br />for regular full-time employees. <br />SWORN AUTHORIZED COMPLEMENT <br />Fire Complement <br />The authorized complement of the Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services Department is <br />one (1) Chief*, two (2) Deputy Chiefs*, eight (8) Battalion Chiefs, thirty-four (34) Captains, <br />forty-two (42) Lieutenants, nine (9) Firefighter/Paramedics, and one hundred thirty-six <br />(136) Firefighters for a total sworn complement of two hundred thirty (232). <br />Police Complement <br />The authorized complement of the Police Department is one (1) Chief*, two (2) Assistant <br />Chiefs*, six (6) Captains, fourteen (14) Lieutenants, thirty-two (32) Sergeants, and one <br />hundred ninety-eight (198) Police Officers, for a total sworn complement of two hundred <br />fifty-three (253). <br />2 <br />
